Presentation :
Michael Rauh of Chelsea Groton Bank presented a check for $2500 from the Chelsea Groton Foundation to our Mahan Coat Fund.
 
 
 
Announcements:
  • Pres. Kathleen passed around numerous thank you’s that the club has received from third graders for dictionaries as well as from residents of Schwartz manor. We distributed 105 gift cards from ShopRite for Thanksgiving.
 
 
 
 
  • Club members are encouraged to email Mary Richardson or Kevin Wickless with the name and contact info of proposed  speakers. Mary or Kevin will follow up directly with all proposed speakers.we are all booked up through 2017 but still have a few opening during 2018.
  • We are looking for host families for potential exchange students.
  • Members are encouraged to think about their own elevator speech – “What is Rotary” to share with friends and colleagues
  • Diversity Day 2018 will be September 17 (Rain date: Sept 24) and there will be a Peace Pole commemoration on September 21.
  • Our $40 facilities fee will be continued for the next billing cycle.
  • The date for Rotary at NFA  is looking like some time in January
  • he 4 Way Test Speech Semi finals are March and10 21
  • at NFA.
  • The District Assembly and 4 Way Test finals will be April 7  at the 4-Points Sheraton in Meridan
  • RYLA is May 11-14 at Camp Hazen
  • Thanks go to Mike Cooney for work on the website.
  • Expect to be hearing from Mike Cooney starting in January about our annual No-show Gala.
  • A bourbon tasting is being planned for sometime in April.
 
Proposed New Member:
The Board of Directors has tentatively approved José Perez for membership. If any current Rotarian knows of a reason why the candidate should not become a member, an objection stating the reason must be submitted in writing to the Board of Directors within fourteen (14) days of the date of this posting. E-mail to the President or Secretary may be used. If no objections are filed within that time, the candidate shall be considered elected to membership and a date for formal induction set.

Mike’s grandson is excited about going to school for a term in England but is not so sure about wearing the school uniform.

Andrew welcomed Mike Rauh to the meeting and is looking forward to the next Patriots game as well as the post-season.
 
 
Rodney welcomed Mike Rauh and then sang us a song about a Christmas tale that has never been told.
 
 
Kyle is back from a skiing honeymoon in Canada.
 
 
Ray welcomed Mike Rauh and remembered his Mom on her 75h birthday.
 
 
Mike M is teaching his son a little about the true meaning of Christmas.
 
 
Pres. Kathleen thanked Mike Rauh and some Rotarians. She passed around an envelope to collect for tips for the servers.
 
 
Theresa thanked Mike and also had a funny story about going to midnight mass with husband Paul.
