The Board of Directors has tentatively approved  Narie Osborne for membership. If any current Rotarian knows of a reason why the candidate should not become a member, an objection stating the reason must be submitted in writing to the Board of Directors within fourteen (14) days of the date of this posting. E-mail to the President or Secretary may be used. If no objections are filed within that time, the candidate shall be considered elected to membership and a date for formal induction set.

  • Our annual Rose Garden luncheon is scheduled for May 23.
  • The annual change of command ceremony will take place on June 20
  • The pancake breakfast for the Little League will be on April 28.
  • We are still looking for a location for the storing and sorting of coats. Contact Rodney
  • Next Diversity Day Planning Committee meeting scheduled for May 7.
  • The Culture for Coats Bourbon and Wine Tasting event will be held on April 30th at the Holiday Inn in Norwich from 5:30 to 7:30.
  • The Rotary Golf Tournament will be played on September 5th, 2018.
  • Please contact Mary Richardson or Kevin Wickless if you have a guest speaker you would like to propose.  No more dirigible pilots please.
  • The district conference will be June 1-3 in Burlington, Vermont.
  • The Happy Dollars Fund is available for needy recipients. Please contact any member of the committee.
  • The Club is seeking nominations for the Native Son/Daughter Award.
  • The Food Packaging Event will be held on November 10th this year and will be a joint event with the Norwich Sunrise Rotary Club.  Contact Gen Granger for details.
  • Roz Etra announced an event jointly celebrated by Hadassah of eastern Connecticut and the Norwich NAACP. this is to take place at three Rivers Community College on May 8. Friday, May 27 is the annual Power of Purple luncheon. This will be held at the holiday inn. Rotary is a sponsor and all are invited to participate.

Larry saw a robin today.
 
 
Gary had some happy dollars for all the Red Sox  fans. He just got back from a five-day golf trip and paid for it with Roemer's credit card.
 
 
Bob F. is eagerly anticipating a fun Night with Author on April 27.
 
 
Mike G. just got back from visiting his son Noah who is teaching in the UK.
 
 
Andy G. is happy to report that one of his daughters is getting engaged.
 
 
Mike C. expressed President Kathleen’s joy over our good attendance today. He informed the club that our native son for this year, Ed Cubanski,  will be celebrated on May 30.
 
 
Bonnie thanked Larry Fowler for being such a nice insurance agent. She thanked Jose for volunteering to help with the security at the carnival. She said we will also need other helpers this year. we found out that we will have to pay NFA $24,000 tuition for our inbound exchange student.
 
 
Manny's Spring flowers are blooming. He attended a Holocaust commemoration where a film was shown about a town in southern France which rescued a number of children during World War II.
 
 
Andrew N. welcomed back Andy Grant. He is happy because his bathroom is almost finished
 
 
Kyle is happy about getting approved fo a re-fi.
 
 
Bill got to attend an awards ceremony for Regan Miner. He also went to a teachers conference with Patrice in Great Barrington. On Saturday he was with the address at a special Saturday performance of Miss Lottie‘s café. Bill was sad to announce that he was informed by Rich Pascal that Rich's father died.
