The NTHS Interact Club traveled to Preston Veterans Memorial School to work with these young children and teach them to plant seeds.  After they picked the plants they wanted to grow, they were given the seeds and a temporary pot to plant the seed and they were able to take them home and watch them grow. With some time left the Interactors played a rousing game of "Goose,Goose, Duck".  Great job !

Watch this short video about why it is so difficult to eradicate polio now.
In the video is Rukshar Khatun, the last polio victim in India who poses for a photo outside her house in the Howrah district, West Bengal. She survived the virus, but it left its mark as she limps because of weakness of her left ankle. (Subhendu Ghosh / Hindustan Times)
